Any figures we discuss depend on your home, your usage, and your utility, and real numbers come only from a project-specific assessment. The terms of any actual work are set out in your written proposal and agreement, which govern that project.

Estimates, proposals and what is binding
Anything produced by tools on this site, including the solar cost calculator, is an illustration for orientation only. It is not an offer, not a quotation, and not capable of acceptance. Figures generated from a small number of inputs cannot account for your roof, your shading, your electrical service or the export terms that apply to your specific meter.
A written proposal issued after a site assessment is a different thing, and its own terms govern it. Where a proposal states a validity period, prices and availability are subject to change after that period. Equipment specifications may change where a specified component becomes unavailable, in which case we will tell you and offer an equivalent rather than substituting silently.
Production estimates in any proposal are modelled projections based on stated assumptions about shading, orientation and weather. They are not guarantees of output, and no estimate we issue should be read as one.
Tax and financial statements
Information on this site about tax credits, exemptions and incentives is general and is provided because it is difficult to evaluate a solar system without it. It is not tax advice, and your eligibility depends on your own circumstances, including your tax liability.
Tax law and utility programmes change, sometimes materially. We date the facts on these pages for that reason, but a dated fact is a statement about when it was checked rather than a promise that it remains current. Confirm your own position with a qualified tax professional before making a financial decision, and confirm programme availability with the administering body rather than relying on any page, including this one.
Third-party links and content
This site links to utilities, state agencies, statutes and other external sources, because claims about policy are worth less without somewhere to check them. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or availability, and a link does not imply endorsement of anything beyond the specific point cited.
Scheduling, access and site conditions
Where work is scheduled, timelines are estimates. Installation dates depend on permitting, equipment availability, weather and safe working conditions, and the utility approval required before a completed system may operate depends on that utility's queue rather than on us.
Work requires safe access to the property and to relevant electrical equipment. Where access is obstructed, or where a survey reveals a structural, roofing or electrical condition that was not apparent, the scope and price may need to be revisited before work continues. We will raise that at the point we find it rather than after.
Warranties
Warranty terms are set out in the documentation issued with your installation, and those documents govern. Nothing on this site extends, varies or replaces them. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer on their own terms, and we pass through the documentation rather than assume the manufacturer's obligations.
If you disagree with something we have done
Contact us directly first. Most disputes in this trade arise from an expectation set at the sales stage that was not met at the work stage, and the fastest resolution is usually a conversation with the person who set it. The contact details on this site reach the owners.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be limited by agreement, and where a provision here is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the appropriate response is not to use the site. We may update these terms, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version, so the date shown on this page is worth checking if it has been a while.
You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction and legally able to enter into a contract in order to request an assessment or engage us for work. Where you are acting for a business or on behalf of a property owner who is not you, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Contacting you, and how to stop
When you submit a request through this site you are asking us to respond, and you are consenting to us contacting you about that request by phone, text message and email using the details you provide. That consent is limited to the purpose you gave the information for, and it is not a condition of any purchase.
You can withdraw it at any time. Reply STOP to a text message, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or simply tell whoever you are speaking to that you would rather not be contacted again, and we will record it. Message and data rates may apply to text messages depending on your own mobile plan.
We do not sell your contact details and we do not pass your enquiry to other solar companies. If you are receiving solar marketing from businesses you have not contacted, it did not come from here.
Acceptable use
This site is provided for people researching or arranging solar and related electrical work. You agree not to use it to attempt unauthorised access to any system, to interfere with its operation, to submit false information or another person's details, to scrape or reproduce its content systematically, or to use any automated system to submit forms.
The forms on this site exist so that homeowners can reach us. Submissions that are automated or made in bad faith consume time that would otherwise go to people who actually want the work, and we take measures to prevent them.
Electronic communications and records
You agree that we may communicate with you electronically and that electronic communications, including email and any electronically signed documents, satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing. Records we maintain of communications and agreements are admissible to the same extent as business records maintained in any other form.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of this site, or your provision of information you were not entitled to provide, including another person's personal information or details of a property you have no authority over.
Circumstances beyond reasonable control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform where it results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In this trade that realistically includes severe weather, utility interconnection queues and approval timelines, permitting authority backlogs, equipment supply disruption, and conditions that make working at height unsafe.
Where such a delay occurs we will tell you what has happened and what it means for your timeline rather than letting a date pass silently.
Assignment, severability and entire agreement
You may not assign your rights under any agreement with us without our written consent. We may assign ours in connection with a transfer of the business, and any such assignment does not reduce obligations already owed to you.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, it is to be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in full effect. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
These terms, together with any written proposal, contract and warranty documentation issued for your specific project, constitute the entire agreement between us in respect of this site and that work, and supersede any prior representation. Where a project contract conflicts with these terms, the project contract governs for that project.
Accessibility
We aim to make this site usable by as many people as possible, including with assistive technology. If you encounter something on it you cannot use, tell us and we will fix it and, in the meantime, give you the same information by another route. Accessibility problems are defects rather than preferences, and we would rather hear about them than not.
Reviews, testimonials and customer content
Where a customer's name, review or project appears on this site, it is used with their permission and it describes a real installation. We do not publish invented testimonials, stock photography presented as our own work, or reviews aggregated from elsewhere without attribution.
An individual customer's result is that customer's result. Production, savings and payback vary with roof, shading, usage and the utility serving the property, and nothing in a testimonial should be read as a prediction of what your own system will do.
If you are a customer and want something removed, tell us and we will remove it. Consent to appear is not permanent and is not something we would want to hold anyone to.
Feedback and suggestions
If you send us feedback about this site or our work (including corrections to something we have published), you agree that we may act on it without obligation or compensation. We would rather receive a correction than remain wrong, and several pages here have been amended because someone took the trouble to point something out.
Pricing and availability
Benchmarks and figures published on this site, including any per-watt cost reference, describe the market as we observed it at the date shown. They are not offers and they are not a commitment to price any particular project at that level. A project's price depends on its own specifics and is set in a written proposal.
Utility programmes, rebates and tax incentives referenced on this site are administered by third parties and are subject to their own terms, funding and availability. Programmes that are funded in rounds can close without notice. Where we describe a rebate as waitlisted or at capacity, that is a statement about when we last checked rather than a permanent condition.
Service area
Licensing and regulatory requirements differ between the three states in which we operate, and work is performed in accordance with the requirements applicable where the property is located. Nothing on this site should be read as an offer to perform work in a jurisdiction where we are not able to perform it.
We install in parts of South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. The presence of a page about a particular city does not guarantee availability in that city at any given time, and availability may be affected by scheduling, licensing, or the practicalities of reaching a location. Where we cannot take on work we will say so rather than quoting for it.
